Tommy Peaden was a very special friend to me from the seventh grade at Hendricks Avenue through Landon and beyond, until we finally lost touch.
When I entered the seventh grade class, knowing no one, he was one of a small and wonderful group who welcomed me and made me feel a part of things. One of the others was Davey Booher, and it is a sad irony that both are gone. But Davey left behind a loving wife and children to remember him, and Tommy did not.
Tommy will always have a special place in my memories. He had a brilliant mind and a huge heart, and deserved more from life than he probably received. I hope he is resting in peace.
